Over the years, Flammang's work also has been published in a variety of periodicals, including NADA's Auto Exec, Consumers Digest, In These Times, Auto Remarketing, Collectible Automobile, Motorbranschen (Sweden), Automotive News, Texaco Travel Club News, Mature Lifestyles, Visio, Auto Analyst, American Heritage, and Allstate Adventures.

In recent years, most of Flammang's work has appeared online, at such sites as autoMedia.com, Kelley Blue Book (kbb.com), Consumer Guide, and New Car Test Drive, as well as his own web site (tirekick.com). Flammang also has contributed to the print magazine, Ward's Dealer Business, and to the Chicago Dispatcher (a newspaper for taxi drivers and owners).

President of the Midwest Automotive Media Association in 1999-2000, Flammang also is a member of the International Motor Press Association and the Freelancers Union.
